Our Story

The first time we met is recalled differently by each of us. Both making lasting impressions.

Liam's Version

He visited his friend Matt at the University of East Anglia in early 2016. He came down to have drinks and socialise with his friends. Sitting in the communal kitchen of Flat 31 was Me (Emily) . Writing an essay whilst playing all sorts of drinking games with my friend, Holly. He was impressed by my multitasking skills of simultaneously chugging drinks or shots whilst actually writing an essay. It may not have been love at first site but it sure was an impression.

Emily's Version

My version is a year later, March 2017. Unfortunately I couldn't remember Liam being present in my uni flat, it may have to do with the alcohol fuelled writing session. I remember hosting a party to celebrate some of my friends birthdays. Pre-drinks in my university home in Earlham Road Norwich.

Matt had unknowingly invited his mates down to join the celebrations. Luckily or unluckily, Liam was visiting his parents in Suffolk for the weekend. So, he turned up and immediately caught my eye.  I said to my friend Holly 'Im going for a chat' gesturing towards Liam across the room.

The rest of the night I took Liam under my wing, offering drinks and forcing Liam to dance with me. That night Liam was staying at the house with no clue about where to sleep as some other people had occupied Matt's room. I graciously offered to help saying that he could stay in my room for the night.

Liam accepted the offer and went up to my room. I may have left out the fact that I was going to stay in my friends room for the night. Liam didn't mind as it meant a double bed to himself after a night partying. When I woke up, I ventured into my room and found the bed made (immediately knew he was a keeper) and Liams number written on top of a Jesus pamphlet laid on my pillows. From that moment onwards there wasn't a day we didn't talk.
